Don’t Visit Venice Without Doing These Exciting Things!

We all tend to have a bucket list of places we want to go to, but haven’t had the chance to visit yet! For a lot of people, Italy makes that list. And Venice, in particular, is a must-see. Here are some top exciting activities you should do while you’re in Venice!

Italian lesson

If you are in Venice, you should consider going and learning some of the beautiful Italian language. Then you can have a short chat with the locals, and impress your friends and family when you get home. Research classes which you could attend to learn some of the basics. You may be able to get a one to one class for a slightly more expensive cost. Nothing beats getting a language class from someone who lives there.

Food tour

Italy is known for its delicious pasta and pizza dishes and often people choose to go there so they can enjoy these delights. While you are in Venice, you should consider going on a food tour. That way you can try lots of different foods and see what you love. Some sites such as offer tours where they will take you to various restaurants. You can then try the different meals. You may learn some tips for what to cook at home for friends.

Gondola ride

You can’t go to Venice and not go on a gondola ride down the Grand canal. It’s a once in a lifetime experience that you will never forget. They often do rides in groups, or you can pay extra just to go in with your partner. You can also pay an additional charge to have someone singing Italian classics.

Lido beach

Not a lot of people now but there is a beach in Venice. At the Lido, you can take a few moments away from the city and get a tan. It often gets very busy during the summer months so go early to try and get a spot. The hotels are also cheaper than in the center of Venice so it might be worth staying there instead.

Art scene

Venice is one of the best places in the world for its Art scene, and therefore, you should visit the art museums if you are headed there. As this article describes, the art in Venice is contemporary and a must-see.

Rialto bridge and market

When visiting Venice, you need to see the Rialto Bridge, which is one of the most amazing sights in the city. You could travel underneath it on the grand canal. Make sure you get lots of photos. Have a drink at St Mark’s Square

St Mark’s Square is a must-see if you are heading to Venice. Wander around and see the magnificent sights. It’s exciting as there are so many people around. Stop and have a drink and listen to the music which plays every night.
